business is business

I now work here at HUGE inc since November 2008. I moved from Montreal to NYC in 2 weeks, and started work there within a month. We count within our range of clients: Jet Blue, Reader’s Digest, Nutrisystem, FlyOpenSkies, and many many more.

Before that, I was a freelancer and had clients. Did video, visual design and interaction design, and social media strategist. My main client was Stress Limit Design based in Montreal.

Here are a few of the projects we worked on:

Startcooking.com

Basically it’s a home made yet eye candy stop motion animation video tutorial site for cooking 101. We have tremendous success online, on Youtube the videos would be a hit, over 1 million views in one week end! The collaboration for this project was very tight and building start ups from scratch and using social media platforms to launch and reach out is so intense and challenging, yet if done genuinely can lead to success stories

Environmental Defense Fund

On this project I worked mostly on the book site: Earth the Sequel where we had to research and brainstorm on ad campains

Charlie Green’s Trusted Advisor

On this project, I was hired to make an ebook. Research the net for existing ebooks, and make one for Charlie. This was so interesting, and found that viral pdfs called ebook with a voice and a reason to be are useful, needed and here again we witness a success story thanks to social media. I was involved on the design of the website as well.

This is an array of work done in a more corporate world. In parallel I co-directed with Hoda Adra, the project that got us finalists under the category New IPTV Concepts at the MipTV Millia in Cannes in April, 2008. The project called TEEVX.com got the BBC very excited with us, and they offered us a deal that never was possible at the time because of copy right issues. The project is an online karaoke tv game that allows people to record their internet tv content and mash it up live competing with each other, or not. The rule is mash up, what people chose to do with it, is up to them. The BBC is throwing contests like these to find a fun smart interesting way to play with its archives. We jump on the occasion and got them really interested. So interested they wanted to finance the production under the condition that it will be open only to UK. The rest of the world will never play with it. We refused. Also the issue of copy righting was a big deal for them, there was no way they accepted our licensing under Creative Commons.

The project is still alive under a bubble glass in our laboratory. To be continued….

Everything remains under-construction.
