Guest of Cindy Sherman

Can’t take this movie out of my head since I watched it on Sunday at At Cinema Village, 12th Street, east of Fifth Avenue, NY.
“Filmed over 15 years and including interviews with a veritable who’s who of the art and entertainment world (including Ingrid Sischy, John Waters, Robert Longo, Carol Kane, David Furnish, Danny DeVito, and Molly Ringwald), the film paints a vivid picture of the New York art scene that is also a witty, illuminating look at celebrity, male anxiety, and art. ”
A raw documentary about an icon in the art world, a woman who directly and indirectly inspired me, Cindy Sherman. When I first heard about her, I was 16 and was already playing many roles, wearing wigs and shooting myself as another persona. When I heard of her I was shocked, then depressed, then grateful to have had the same ideas as her, to play myself. We are many.
Wow! It sounds and looks great. I think you need to see it again.
